Hyundai Hope on Wheels awards $100,000 to Banner Children's

In August, Banner Children's at Diamond Children's Medical Center in Tucson was the site of a meaningful celebration. Children impacted by cancer painted their handprints onto a Hyundai vehicle as part of the Hyundai Hope on Wheels Handprint Ceremony — the nonprofit's signature event honoring the resilience of young patients and recognizing the dedicated teams who support them every day.

The occasion was the Hyundai Hope on Wheels Handprint Ceremony, the nonprofit organization's signature event honoring the bravery of children impacted by cancer and celebrating the dedicated teams who care for them every day. Alongside the ceremony, Hyundai Hope on Wheels presented Banner Children's with a $100,000 Impact Grant to advance pediatric cancer research — a gift that will directly benefit patients, families, and care teams working tirelessly on the front lines of childhood cancer.

Hanna Huayek, Regional Sales Operational Manager at Hyundai Motor America, captured the spirit of the moment beautifully: "It's not just about selling cars as a brand, but it's about giving back. Every handprint tells a story — whether you are a survivor who overcame cancer, or a reminder of the losses so many of us have felt."
