In case you missed it: 2025 WISH allocation recipients

Each year, WISH members pool their gifts and raise additional funds, then decide together how best to invest in Banner Health programs important to women and their families. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the event and participated in our mission. This is what it’s all about! Read more to learn about the programs that received funding.
- Feeding Hope – Banner Branch Senior Center ($100,000)
Funding will expand food security and social service access for vulnerable older adults. Olive Branch will deliver 60,000 nutritious meals annually and strengthen pantry operations, creating a foundation for future programs such as cooking and nutrition education. Demand continues to surge—the pantry now serves more than 500 people daily, a 55% increase over last year.
- Steps to HOPE– Family Caregivers Program, Banner Alzheimer’s Institute ($50,000)
Support will help sustain and expand this essential program for family caregivers across Arizona. Steps to HOPE (Health, Optimism, Purpose and Endurance) offers a group therapy model led by licensed clinical social workers who teach ambiguous loss theory and provide practical, transformative strategies to restore hope, meaning, and self-care. The program has demonstrated measurable, positive impact on the lives of caregivers supporting loved ones with dementia.
- CARE Program – Banner Children at Risk Evaluation Program ($50,000)
The CARE Program serves as a critical sentinel for identifying abuse and neglect in children who present for medical care at Banner Health. The team reports suspected abuse to authorities and connects families with appropriate community resources. Philanthropic support will strengthen program staffing, meet program needs, and ensure ongoing education for team members.
