In a noble display of corporate citizenship, Roche Diagnostics Corporation held an employee-driven event called “Roche Gives Back” on March 9 during Roche’s national 2026 corporate kickoff event at the Sheraton in downtown Phoenix.

Roche employees assembled and delivered 250 hygiene kits to Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix, which serves a large population of unhoused individuals. Each hygiene kit includes items like shampoo, washcloths, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and more.
"At Banner, our responsibility is to ensure every patient, regardless of circumstance, receives world-class, compassionate care. Even something as simple as a hygiene kit can be a powerful reminder that they are seen, valued, and not alone," says Dan Post, CEO of Banner - University Medical Center Phoenix.

The hospital's catchment area reflects the rich racial and socioeconomic diversity of downtown and central Phoenix. Nearly half of its patients represent ethnic minorities and 14% live below the poverty line. As a nonprofit health system, Banner provides nearly $1 billion annually worth of community benefit: care, services, and programs that enhance the health and well-being of our communities but are not reimbursed. We are deeply grateful for support from corporate partners like Roche Diagnostics, who help fill the gap between insurance reimbursements, government funding, and the cost of providing care and patient support.

“We were truly pleased to partner with Banner Health on this effort,” said Lori Satterfield. “Giving back to our community is important to Roche, and initiatives like this are a meaningful way for our employees to make a real difference, she said.”
