Banner Health Foundation is delighted to acknowledge Fishkind, Bakewell, Maltzman, Hunter & Associates Eye Care and Surgery Center for supporting Banner’s youngest patients through the Play Zone at Diamond Children’s Medical Center. Their support will help build a dedicated space that will give hospitalized kids a place for recreation, play, therapy, learning, and healing.

We recently sat down with their team to learn what inspired their support of the Banner Health Foundation.

What have you found impactful from supporting the health care system?

Sight is precious. For over 30 years, Fishkind, Bakewell, Maltzman, Hunter & Associates Eye Care and Surgery Center has remained committed to providing the highest quality eye care to prevent loss of sight and to provide care and comfort to everyone in Tucson and southern Arizona. Our entire staff of eye care professionals strive to accomplish our vision through constant dedication, communication, and education to staff and our community at large.

Describe the ways that Fishkind, Bakewell, Maltzman, Hunter & Associates Eye Care and Surgery Center has found meaningful impact from being a part of the Play Zone campaign?

Supporting the Play Zone at Diamond Children’s Medical Center is a unique opportunity to further enrich the lives of those around us and impact a new generation in need of specialized healthcare and comfortable spaces for both recovery and education. We look forward to our partnership with the Play Zone campaign as a natural extension of our goals and commitment to our Tucson community.

How does this partnership reflect Fishkind, Bakewell, Maltzman, Hunter & Associates Eye Care and Surgery Center’s philanthropic goals?

FBMH believes strongly in the goal of educating and improving the health and vision of people of all ages. Each year, we reaffirm our vision by supporting numerous philanthropic ventures in healthcare as well as the arts and sciences, local public radio, community and religious organizations, aid groups, and through education with strong relationships with area schools and universities.
