We recently sat down with the Cannon & Wendt team to learn what inspired their support of the Banner Health Foundation.
Describe the ways that Cannon & Wendt has found meaningful impact supporting Banner Health.
Over our tenure in the health care industry, our expertise has given us the opportunity to partner with Banner Health for many years to create and expand outstanding facilities in the Valley. Since the 1950s, Cannon & Wendt has built expansions on the Banner Good Samaritan Campus (known today as Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix), to the more recent construction of the new Emergency Department and patient tower at Banner Boswell, work at Banner Ocotillo, and the new women’s tower at Banner Desert.
How does your past support of Banner Health reflect Cannon & Wendt’s charitable giving strategies?
Cannon & Wendt has been involved in many charitable events alongside Banner Health including the Banner Children’s Open, Help Fill the Toy Closet Foundation, and the Pulse of the City Soiree. Many of Banner’s charitable opportunities not only allow us to donate to a good cause, but also give us the opportunity to be involved with a more hands-on approach to network with others who help support the health and well-being of our community.
What advice can Cannon & Wendt share with other corporations considering an investment in Banner Health?
Building long-lasting relationships, like the one we have with Banner Health, and being readily available to service new health care projects throughout the Valley enables Cannon & Wendt to support the health of our community in an indirect way. By lighting these new facilities, we enable Banner’s health care professionals to do their best work for those in need around the Valley. In addition, Cannon & Wendt is proud to provide direct financial support every year by participating in the Banner Health Foundation’s charitable events. Partnering with Banner gives us a great opportunity to give back and we couldn’t be prouder and more excited for what’s ahead.
