Banner Health Foundation gratefully acknowledges Hyundai Motor America’s support to help build a Play Zone at Diamond Children’s Medical Center. Once completed, this bright, open space will give hospitalized kids a place away from their hospital room and treatment areas to relax, play, read, express themselves creatively, and explore their emotions.

We recently sat down with the Hyundai Motor America’s team to learn what inspired their support of the Banner Health Foundation.

Describe the ways that Hyundai Motor America has found meaningful impact in supporting the Play Zone at Diamond Children’s.

The opportunities and benefits that a safe and supportive space like the Play Zone will offer families is at the heart of Hyundai Hope’s mission to uplift children and families in the community.

How does this grant reflect Hyundai’s culture and goals?

The donation reflects our commitment to Hyundai’s vision of progress for humanity. Specifically, through Hyundai Hope, Hyundai Motor America’s corporate social responsibility initiative, we aim to improve the well-being of society by supporting health and safety initiatives. We are proud to bring this to life with the Banner Health Foundation and the Play Zone at Diamond Children’s.

What is Hyundai Hope focused on in the coming months and year ahead?

Hyundai Hope will continue to increase our impact on communities across the nation through various health, safety, and hunger relief initiatives. This includes partnering with leading children’s hospitals on child safety seat and driver education programs that build awareness of best safety practices and create safer roads. We will also continue to partner with food banks and other programs that prioritize access to food and nutrition to fulfill our mission of supporting communities where we live and work.
