Hyundai Hope On Wheels is grateful to support the AYA Recreation and Wellbeing program at Diamond Children’s Medical Center in its effort to improve the quality of life for young patients during their cancer treatment. Being diagnosed with cancer and enduring treatment during your teenage years, in college, or even as a young adult presents many unique challenges. We are proud of the positive impact that the AYA Recreation and Wellbeing program has on the mental and emotional part of that journey. It is our hope that this group patients, with their unique needs and challenges, can experience a little joy and comfort along the way.

How does this support reflect Hyundai Hope On Wheel’s goals and funding priorities?

Hyundai Hope On Wheels has been creating hope for families facing childhood cancer by investing in life-saving research, treatment, and support for 26 years. Banner’s AYA Recreation and Wellbeing program nurtures the mental and emotional well-being of adolescent and young adult cancer warriors, which is a driving force for us as we continue to bring hope and spread awareness.

What does Hyundai Hope On Wheels seek to achieve with its charitable giving?

Hyundai Hope On Wheels awards grants to researchers at eligible Children’s Oncology Group (COG) member institutions, which are focused on improving outcomes, treatments and support for children diagnosed with cancer. We know the critical importance of funding to ensure that not only can doctors, scientists, and institutions continue their cutting-edge research, but that there is continued awareness of pediatric cancer research to one day realize our vision of a world-free of pediatric cancer.
