Try these tips for a successful fundraiser

Plan ahead Start planning at least one month in advance, allowing more time for more complex events. When selecting a date, consider school breaks, holidays, and public events.	Get digital Use an online fundraising page to promote your upcoming event, track progress, and stay in touch with supporters. Don't forget to include the link in your e-mail signature and share it on social media.	Promote, promote, promote Get your personal and professional networks involved. Talk about it in person, through social media, with a phone call, or shout it from the mountain top.

What's your motivation? Talk about the reason for your connection to the cause and why you're chosen to give back.	Lead by example Be your own first donor and show future supporters just how committed to the cause you are.	Express your gratitude Always thank your supporters. Send an e-mail, a letter, or a batch of cookies just to say “thanks.”

Double your efforts Find out if your employer has a matching gift program. Is there a company that will match what you raise?	Follow through Mail in your donations, or arrange a time with the Community Champions Team to deliver your donation in person.	Share your story As soon as your event is over, tell your Champion Story!

Looking for inspiration?

Remember the classics Don’t forget about a good old-fashioned lemonade stand, car wash, or bake sale in support of the Banner Health cause closest to your heart.	A few of your favorite things Think of a hobby you love, and turn it into a fundraiser. Host a walk-a-thon, concert, tennis tournament, art show, bike-a-thon, or wine tasting.	Scavenger hunt Set a trail of clues all through town, and have people pay for the first clue in the treasure hunt. The winner receives a prize!
All online, all the time

Honor a loved one Create an online fundraising page to honor someone close to you. Or pay tribute to the memory of someone you've lost.	Donate your day In lieu of gifts for your birthday, wedding, graduation, or other special day, ask friends and family to contribute to your online fundraising page.	Schedule a night in Host a board game night or movie marathon, or turn on the big game. Ask friends and family to make a donation to your online fundraising page. For a fun twist, give it a theme!

SPONSOR A SENIOR

Sponsor a homebound senior citizen served by Banner Olive Branch Senior Center, bringing home meal delivery, a friendly volunteer visit, and a gift and card.
