Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center
Hope starts here.
In this year alone, nearly 1.7 million Americans, including almost 33,000 Arizonans, will hear the dreaded words, “You have cancer.”
When Arizona’s leading health care provider, Banner Health, joined forces with the nation’s top-ranked University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2011, it changed the landscape for cancer patients and their families throughout Arizona and the Southwest. With its main campus in Gilbert, and extension sites in downtown Phoenix and the northwest Valley, Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center gives patients access to the same cutting-edge technology, multidisciplinary approach, and leading cancer care available at MD Anderson in Houston. Experts adhere to the philosophy, process, and guidelines of MD Anderson’s clinical leadership, and provide a full range of multidisciplinary care options, including medical oncology, surgery, and radiation.
Today, with more than 1.5 million patient visits, some 200 clinical trials underway, and an ever-growing team of specialists across disciplines, Banner MD Anderson is poised to become Arizona’s premier clinical cancer research program and the vanguard of a revolution in cancer care.
Maintaining the highest level of care means setting new standards in patient access to multidisciplinary programs, research, clinical trials, and leading-edge technology, including the most advanced diagnostic imaging available. Banner Health investments in cancer care programs, facilities, and people promises to offer the best patient experience with the latest technologies in all of our patient care settings. Charitable gifts help extend the expert care provided by our physicians and make possible many special programs and services for patients. Philanthropic investment also funds critical research that leads to the discovery of more effective treatments and could one day lead to the elimination of cancer altogether.
Opportunities to support Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center include program and facility expansion to the Northwest Valley and Scottsdale, research and clinical trials, patient assistance funds, spiritual support, and more.
